Velvaere, is a cozy cottage, nestled in a serene neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, five miles from Washington, DC, USA. It sits just far enough away to escape tension from business conferences, politics and conventions, yet close enough for tourism, culture and night life. Transit busses pick up passengers only two blocks away & plenty of street parking if driving. Bicycle trails, restaurants and parks are just down the hill.

Pass through a garden terrasse, into the house, where I hang clothes by the door and live naked. Velvaere offers comfortable space for rejuvenation: with a bright living room set up for cocktails and conversation, large, equipped kitchen for casual dining, media/library - with stereo, video, television, internet and mystery novels stacked on the shelves. Private bath has simple amenities, with task lighting for necessaries and atmospheric for a relaxing soak. Sleep easy in the remote bedroom with full bed, plentiful closet space and custom draperies that diffuse the morning sun.
